Uganda Farmers Project

In partnership with the Uganda National Farmers' Federation (UNFFE), the Uganda Farmers Project digitises smallholder farming across the country. Cooperatives onboard their farmers onto Basket, produce supply is recorded per farmer, and each farmer receives a verified digital payslip — often the first documented proof of income in their working life. That verified income becomes a financial identity that opens the door to affordable credit, agricultural insurance, healthcare and savings — bringing farmers who have always been invisible to formal finance into the economy.

Target: 30 cooperatives Target: 100,000 smallholder farmers 50%+ women farmers Target GMV: USD 5M (rolling)

Smart Mobility Project

The Smart Mobility Project brings asset finance and Tap & Go payments to Uganda's mobility sector. It puts productive assets — the vehicles and tools riders and operators need to earn — within reach through structured finance, while Tap & Go payment technology digitises fare collection and builds a verifiable income and repayment record. As with our agricultural work, that verified record becomes the foundation for financial inclusion: a mobility operator's earnings history opens access to credit and further asset finance.
